BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROGRAM MANAGER

The Health and Human Services Agency is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Behavioral Health Program Manager. As a Behavioral Health Program Manager, you will design, implement, supervise and manage professional and para-professional staff assigned to mental health programs.

Required Education and Experience

  • A current license by the State of California to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychologist, or Psychiatrist; AND,
  • A master's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in psychology, counseling, social work, or a closely related field; AND,
  • Three (3) years of full time post-master's degree experience in a mental health program providing case management and/or counseling, and crisis intervention to a particular group or program under clinical supervision. Previous experience must have included at least one (1) year as a designated lead for a complex mental health administrative assignment which could include, but not limited to, quality assurance of medical records, program completion of outcome measures, quality management activities, triage lead, etc.
  • Required Attachments
    In order for your education to be considered, you must attach a copy of your degree transcripts, diploma, and/or foreign studies equivalency certificate at Step 1 of your application. Required attachments submitted on or after February 29, 2008 do not need to be resubmitted. Please submit only the documents required.

    Evaluation
    Qualified applicants will be placed on a twelve (12) month eligible list based on scores received during the evaluation of information contained in their employment applications.
