This position has sole responsibility for facilitating external digital marketing strategies to promote traffic safety programs, campaigns, and events, ensuring consistency of message and use of appropriate social media tools for individual audiences. This position plays a vital role in OHSP's communications efforts with stakeholders, grantees, and partners. This position also serves as OHSP's social media coordinator. On a daily basis, this position uses social media to directly message people regarding OHSP activities. This position develops and manages the division's sports marketing program, overseeing safety message outreach activities.

Position Description


Required Education and Experience:

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, broadcasting, telecommunications, advertising, or communication arts.

Experience

Communications Representative 9
No specific type or amount is required.

Communications Representative 10
One year of professional experience in preparing and disseminating informational and promotional materials equivalent to a Communications Representative 9.

Communications Representative P11
Two years of professional experience in preparing and disseminating informational and promotional materials equivalent to a Communications Representative, including one year equivalent to a Communications Representative 10.


Additional Requirements and Information:

This position requires passing a pre-employment screening, including passing a drug screen, criminal history background check and a fingerprint check by the Michigan State Police.
