Licensed Mental Health Clinician

PER COUNTY RULES: THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR APPOINTMENT AT STEP I, $51.438.40 ANNUALLY. COUNTY EMPLOYEES ARE SUBJECT TO THE COUNTY PROMOTION RULE FOR STEP PLACEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH COMP ORD 1.3.5.

Health and Human Services Agency's Behavioral Health Services has immediate full-time opportunities for professional counselors responsible for providing mental health services.

The quality candidates chosen will provide a myriad of mental health services such as case consultation and individual, group and family therapy, crisis intervention, stabilization, assessments, case management, and transition/linkage to community resources/programs.

What you need to qualify:
  • Licensure by the State of California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Clinical Psychologist; AND,
  • A master's degree from an accredited U.S. graduate school, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in counseling, social work, or a closely related field or doctorate degree in psychology; AND,
  • At least two (2) years of full-time, post master's degree experience working in a mental health program providing counseling and crisis intervention, under clinical supervision.

Evaluation:

The names of qualified applicants will be placed on a twelve (12) month employment list based on scores received during the evaluation of information contained in their employment and supplemental application.
